The valve model preparation method is under the jurisdiction of national valve Standardization Technical Committee (SAC / tc188).

The valve model preparation method specifies the valve model preparation, valve type, driving mode, connection form, structural form, sealing surface material, pressure and valve body material code and the valve model representation method. The valve model preparation method is applicable to the pipeline valve products of various gate valves, globe valves, throttle valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, diaphragm valves, plug valves, check valves, blow down valves, plunger valves, pressure reducing valves, drain valves and safety valves.

Nowadays, there are more and more types and materials of valves, and the compilation of valve models is becoming more and more complicated; The valve model shall generally indicate the valve type, driving mode, connection form, structural characteristics, nominal pressure, sealing surface material, valve body material and other elements. The standardization of valve models provides convenience for the design, selection and distribution of valves. Although there is a unified standard for the preparation of valve models in China, it can not meet the needs of the development of valve industry gradually; At present, valve manufacturers generally adopt a unified numbering method; If the unified numbering method cannot be adopted, each manufacturer can formulate the numbering method according to its own situation.

2. When the sealing materials of the valve seat and the valve disc (valve plate) are different, it is indicated by the low hardness material code (except for the diaphragm valve).

The valve shall be stored in a dry and ventilated room, and both ends of the passage shall be blocked. The valve stored for a long time shall be regularly inspected to remove dirt, and the processing surface shall be coated with anti rust oil. Valves in operation and various valves shall be complete and intact. The bolts on the flange and bracket are indispensable, and the threads shall be intact without looseness. It is not allowed to knock, stand or support heavy objects on the valves in operation; In particular, non-metallic valves and cast iron valves should be prohibited.
