The super pipeline test is divided into strength test and tightness test.

(1) Strength test. The hydrostatic test pressure is 1.25 times of the working pressure, and the pneumatic test pressure is 1.15 times of the working pressure.

The test medium is clean water or compressed air.

(2) Tightness test. During the test, visual inspection shall be conducted when the pressure reaches the following values: ps < 0.2MPa, when it reaches 00.6ps; PS ≥ 0.2MPa, when reaching 0.3ps and 0.6ps.

The test medium is compressed air, and the test pressure (PS) is equal to the working pressure (P).

After the test of super pipeline purging is qualified or before ventilation, the compressed air shall be used to purge the welding slag, iron filings, soil, rags and other sundries left in the pipeline during installation to prevent them from entering the instrument and equipment during ventilation.
