Super pipe elbow is a kind of pipe fitting used at the turning of pipe. The proportion of all pipe fittings used in the pipeline system is large, about 80%. Generally, different forming processes are selected for elbows with different materials or wall thicknesses. The forming process of seamless elbow commonly used by the manufacturer includes hot pushing, stamping and extrusion.
The forming process of super pipe hot push elbow is a process in which the special elbow pushing machine, core die and heating device are used to make the blank sleeved on the die move forward under the push of the pushing machine, and the blank is heated, expanded and bent during the movement. The deformation characteristic of the hot push elbow is to determine the diameter of the pipe blank according to the law that the volume before and after the plastic deformation of the metal material is unchanged. The diameter of the pipe blank used is smaller than the diameter of the elbow. The deformation process of the blank is controlled by the core die, so that the compressed metal at the inner arc flows and compensates to other parts thinned due to the expansion of the diameter, so as to obtain an elbow with uniform wall thickness.
The heating methods in the forming process include medium frequency or high frequency induction heating (the heating ring can be multi or single), flame heating and reflection furnace heating. The heating method depends on the requirements of the forming products and the energy situation.
Super pipe stamping forming elbows have long been used in the forming process of batch production of seamless elbows. In the production of elbows with common specifications, they have been replaced by hot pressing or other forming processes. However, in some elbow specifications, the production quantity is small, the wall thickness is too thick or too thin.
